In general...Acosta's the finger in the dike at left back. His only MLS match there, he got a straight red (against Seattle?). I think they're going to deep.

Full house at Chicago tonight...weird night.

I'd go with the Kaka reason ... and yes, I'm excited about our chances.

Pretty sure if Novakovich was released and Canouse hadn't gotten hurt, they'd have gotten a better result the other night. Very talented age group, a lot of good talent just couldn't make the cut. We've come a long way since this group was mostly manned by college players.

agreed ... and tie that in with the younger talent on the senior team that showed well against the Netherlands and it's a bright future

back to this ref screwing Seattle . . .

Orlando, 3-2, 86th min. Another home collapse in the east?

Adailton just misses out on the hat trick...of course, the 1st 2 tonight were own goals.

I haven't seen a team get so blatantly cheated since the 2012 USOC Final

Apparently, 4 teams did...they'll be woefully disappointed.

I didn't catch much soccer this weekend so far. Good thing, too. After sixty prediction points last week I have six so far this week.

I took the family and six of my sons' friends to spend the day hiking along a stretch of the Appalachian trail. We're lucky to live so close to it. Along the way we stopped and chatted with half a dozen people who have been on the trail since Georgia or West Virginia, for many weeks. What a cool thing. Of course, you couldn't get near them; spending six weeks hiking the Appalachian means six weeks without a shower. But still cool.

anyone else feeling a double brace in Carson? 2 for Keane and 2 for Morales, I'd take that
