With no Castillo for Dallas Melia wouldn't be a bad
choice for keeper this week.

is it just me or are DGWs getting tougher and tougher to gauge
when it comes to fantasy. i have no idea who will play most times
as managers are becoming more willing to rest big names. tonight's
lineups are posted and we have no Keane, no Morales, no Boswell,
no Marshall and no Neagle (though he scored twice vs. COL last
time they played) and no Kitchen. that means three of my four guys
with DGWs actually will only have one game, if that. figuring out
who will play is like throwing darts as fewer guys go every game.

I have mentioned this before, but MLS is horrible as scheduling these DWGs with teams travelling from coast to coast for games. Example - DC this week in Portland on Wed and home on Saturday, LA gets a home game and then away at NE. This has been a common occurrence this year and it is difficult on the teams that have to travel.

Many of the players who come to MLS say that the travel is one of the hardest things to adapt to.

Most of the attackers it's like throwing dice, but usually central D and the goalie will play 2. Really surprised about Marshall and Boswell out tonight- more so with Marshall since the drop off from him to Scott is greater than the drop off from Boswell to Birnbaum and DC plays 2 next week as well. But yeah, tough indeed.

this was just posted on reddit:

i discovered reddit in the preseason last year. their MLS fantasy
forum is a decent source for info on injuries, though the discussion
is obviously geared toward the official game. i never post, just lurk
around and try to see if someone has breaking news. i really try to
avoid browsing the main site. it is a black hole for productivity.

guess I got 'luckier' with the DGW's ...

7 of my 11 have DGW, 5 are starting tonight and 2 are on the bench (I would guess at least one if not both will get 2nd half minutes) ...

Urruti put Portland up 1-0 early and a Juninho PK puts LA up 1-0 early

Seventeen prediction points for me from the first three matches. It's all down hill from here.

I checked the MLS site and the box scores are not complete. Odd.

I noticed that the box scores for the DCU and LAG
games were late getting started last night. They
weren't available until the end of the first half.
Must have been the night shift intern on duty.

They had feed issues last night. Looks like Preston was right about Yahoo.

Yeah Matt, the Pappa goal WAS spectacular.

I wasn't a big fan of Pappa before he came to Seattle but now
I get to watch him every game, he has become one of my
favorite players to watch, especially his footwork and trickery
with the ball.
