Davies' head is stitched together sort of like
Frankenstein.

Down a man so need to step it up in second half, Fernando
needs to forget about the first half and play like he did at Rio
Tinto last weekend

I have Hollingshead on my squad but I'd rather have an
Aristeguieta goal, Union needs to get back in this game

Had worst starts in fantasy but can already write off my chances of any sort of respectable finish this year.

More disappointing, worst start in predictions I've ever had.

If I was a quitter I'd walk away now since I know it's over, but of course I'll be here until the end.

Hopefully 2016 is more like 2014 for me.

Not a good day for the Union, that red card killed us

Wow. Matt, it's only the middle of week three and your team is not out of anything yet.

Don't give up. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

ha, definitely not giving up. Just keeping it real, there's no Top 25 finish in fant or pred this season. My successful years are largely based on a good start.

Maybe this is the year to bet on Dallas.

And now, time for the famed Cánicas Captain Hindsight's post
game reflections:

1) It is three wins in a row, six goals and all, still... call me crazy,
but I am not sold at all on Dallas. Is it just me, or they leave HUGE
spaces between lines, with the defense falling too deep and the
midfield not following as quick when the other team has the ball?
Philly was able to bring the ball up and play between lines way too
comfortably playing with ten men.

2) Castillo runs a lot. But I think that's basically it. If you have Blas
Pérez in your team, you probably want him to see the ball more
often.

3) I really like Aristeguieta. He did not score today, but seemed to
do everything else.

4) I am keeping my Philly players. I think in these three games they
have exhausted their bad luck quota for five or six months.

I'm keeping my philly players too Luis, if we didn't get that red
card it may have been a whole different story today. We looked
good up until that point but I credit Dallas for using the man
advantage wisely, they used it to maximum effect which
resulted in their two goals. Shows how one moment can
entirely change the course of a game.

I got Ulloa and Hernandez in my team. Did they do anything?
What was the final score?

Also a major head scratcher about the philly lineup was
playing Pfeffer instead of Maidana, an inexperienced young
player instead of an experienced playmaker and great passer.
That was a bad move by Curtin and Pfeffer was the player
who got the red card so the coaching was a big reason for the
loss today also with a bad lineup decision like that. Pfeffer is a
decent player (actually went to the high school in my town) but
he shouldn't be a starter over a player like Maidana, not even
close.

Dallas will win everything this year because this is the first year that I didn't list them as my favorite MLS team on MFLS. I went with Orlando City instead (closest to home).

Still like Dallas though. I don't agree with Luis' assessment. They pressure the ball well and cause turnovers in the offensive half. Look at the first goal today - came off a turnover.

Their defense will eventually have a really bad day, but what I have noticed is how well they cover for each other and usually get several players around the ball. They will get beat by another team that has speed and can counter, because they do get numbers forward. Diaz and Castillo don't play a lot of defense, but they haven't had to. San Jose was just terrible in the first game and KC was more dangerous in the second half when they started moving the ball quicker and playing more direct.

The Union were done once they went down to 10 men. That was an MMA move by Pfeffer, going for the knockout. No place for it in soccer. He should miss more than one game for that one.
