I am having a miserable season. I can't pick a
team that is going to win, even at home. Seattle
lost to San Jose?

It's been a pretty strange season.

Io Fury lead the way in prediction points this week. Nice job!

Well, what do you know? After a miserable start, the Casuals have finally found a groove. Too bad it's at the tail end of the season.

My goal was to avoid the relegation zone, a spot that has become all too familiar in recent years.

It's been a great comeback year for you Blaise. Top 5 in the
division and 70th overall. Keep it up! Just 3 weeks to go!

And, in a bid to continue the climb, I play everyone on the roster from the 5 teams playing...

The air of the underground offices of the Columbia Casuals, in a sub-basement of the former Rouse Co headquarters, now a Whole Foods, positively reeks of desperation.

Who'd a thunk it, that 27 points would lead the league?

Wow! A one point lead for New Britski over Turgler for the Shield
going into the last weekend. Doesn't get much better. Thank you
for another great season everybody! Can't wait for Sunday!

Should be a wild final week. You know, when I joined up with this group, I must have misread the name for 2 months. I thought we were the 'Division of Greater Significance' which kind of implied a little cockiness on our part. I liked it. When I finally read it correctly, I was a little let down until it occurred to me that it sounded kind of like a special unit of the fuzz on Monty Python. Either way, I'm glad to be in the race for top of the table of DoGS.

And we're glad to have you! I actually got the name from an old
sports game show called "2 Minute Drill" hosted by Kenny
Mayne on ESPN. He would offer a bonus question called "The
Question of Great Significance". I thought it was funny.

I vaguely remember that. I'm a fan of that origin story.

Haha. My brother and I used it in casual conversation for awhile.
For example, if I were headed to the pantry for a cookie, I would
announce to my brother: "It is time for the cookie of great
significance!"

DoGS was originally LoGS, wasn't it, Gavin?

And thanks in advance for running the division again.

You're right. The first year I called it the League of Great Significance.
Because MFLS has "league" in the title, I switched it to get rid of any
confusion. Plus, it made for a better acronym and slogan: Beware of
DoGS!!!
