The spring tournament has ended. Brew City recognizes the division champions:

Division One: Dynamo Silver Spring
Division Two: Phoenix TS
Division Three: Appleton Aarhus SC

Promotion to Division One: Phoenix TS and Cánicas AC
Relegation to Division Two: Sasha Juniors and Sehome Mariners
Promotion to Division Two: Appleton Aarhus SC and BigGame James
Relegation to Division Three: Shaolin Mystigods and Castle Hill Comets

Division One

Dynamo Silver Spring won its third spring division one championship in the past four years, and its fifth overall. Posting a 6-1 record, the only blemish was the final week of the season, losing to Arrows SC 16-14. Redneck made it past Top Shelf 9-6 to finish in a tie for second on points, but Top Shelf finishes in second place on fantasy point difference. Sehome Mariners ended the season in futility, losing every game. The most recent loss was to Aviators 19-14. The Mariners will be relegated to division two in the summer season, along with Sasha Juniors. The Juniors were beaten by Wierder Bremen 24-14.

Division Two

Phoenix TS wins its first spring season championship since back-to-back wins in 2003-2004. Phoenix topped C.C. United 26-7, ending United’s chance for promotion. Phoenix will play the summer season in division one. Cánicas AC returns to division one after a season in D2 thanks to a 19-14 win over Shaolin Mystigods. The loss drops the Mystigods into the relegation zone, where it will compete in division three over the summer season. Nguyenning captured an exciting 9-8 victory over Laws of Lalas, vaulting it out of last place and out of the relegation zone. Dudley Street Hooligans also secured an important victory, 11-1 over Castle Hill Comets, keeping the Hooligans in D2 and relegating the Comets into D3 for the summer.

Division Three

Congratulations goes out to Appleton Aarhus SC for its first ever win in any League Cup championship in any division or season! The final victory over BigGame James 33-20 sealed the deal. Despite the loss, BigGame is also promoted into division two. Another Brek in the Wall climbed over School of Science 23-16. Glorydaze squeaked past Surreywood Rangers 13-12. Grass Pitch Please had a bye this week.
We will take a break in week ten, and start the summer season in week eleven.

The summer season of the League Cup has started. Scores were low all around.

Division One

Top Shelf posted the biggest win of the week 11 to -1 in the Thomas-versus-Thomas battle, and claims the early Division One lead. Redneck stopped Wierder Bremen 17-10. Aviators took care of the Arrows 9-4. Dynamo Silver Spring welcomed Cánicas AC with a 10-8 beating.

Division Two

Newly promoted BigGame James starts the summer season on top of Division Two thanks to a 18-5 drubbing of Sasha Juniors. Dudley Street Hooligans mauled the Laws of Lalas 11-0. Sehome Mariners starts its D2 odyssey with a 12-6 win over newly promoted Appleton Aarhus. In the race to the bottom, it was Nguyenning beating C.C. United -1 to -3.

Division Three

Surreywood Rangers start the summer season on top of D3, cruising past Castle Hill Comets 10 to -8. School of Science schooled Another Brek in the Wall 14-7. Grass Pitch Please topped Glorydaze 11-4. The Mystigods of Shaolin start the season with a bye.

Dan, I think there is a mistake in the results. Mark had beaten me in
the FA cup last week; thus, if I am correct, the not-twice-in-a-row
rule applies, and I am to be awarded the win. In case I am mistaken
with that one, it was also my birthday this weekend, so the birthday
rule would also apply anyway, giving me the win. I expect you will
correct the results and table accordingly.

Division One

All but two teams had leveled their records in week twelve. Redneck SC is Division One’s only undefeated team after two weeks. Redneck slipped past Aviators 27-23. Phoenix TS obliterated Dynamo Silver Spring 36-0, and moves into second place on point difference, ahead of the other five teams who are level at 1-1. Arrows SC nicked Top Shelf 17-14. Cánicas AC got their first win of the season, by the same three point margin, over Wierder Bremen 10-7. (Consider this the makeup to the "not-twice-in-a-row" ruling.) WB is winless so far.

Division Two

Two teams lead Division Two with perfect records. Dudley Street Hooligans is tops on point difference. The Hooligans beat Sehome Mariners 17-8. BigGame James is also 2-0, after narrowly defeating Nguyenning 8-7. Appleton Aarhus bombed Sasha Juniors 32-7. The Juniors are winless and at the bottom of the table, with a tough point difference of -38. Ouch. The Laws of Lalas knocked off CC United 20-18, leaving United also winless this summer season.

Division Three

Grass Pitch Please is the only 2-0 team in D3. GPP easily handled Another Brek in the Wall, winning 14-2. Glorydaze took care of the Castle Hill Comets 18-15. The Comets are winless and at the bottom of the table. Shaolin Mystigods came off the bye week with a 17-8 win over Surreywood Rangers. School of Science had the week off, and is also sporting a 1-0 season so far.

Division One

Four teams are tied at the top of the Division One standings, with 2-1 records. Top Shelf is best among them on point difference, thanks in large part to a 38-20 victory over Redneck. Cánicas AC moves into second place with a 29-25 win over Aviators. Arrows SC and Phoenix TS both finished in the MFLS top three this week, but the Arrows got the best of PTS, slipping past with a one point victory 56-55. Weirder Bremen and Dynamo Silver Spring produced the season’s first tie, 36-36.

Division Two

Two teams are a perfect 3-0 in D2. Dudley Street Hooligans sits on top by point difference. The Hooligans licked Appleton Aarhus 44-35. BigGame James is also 3-0, besting Laws Of Lalas 41-35. Nguyenning kept Sasha Juniors winless, beating the Juniors33-25. CC United got its first win, topping Sehome Mariners 32-22.

Division Three

Grass Pitch Please tops division three with a 2-0 record, though GPP had a bye this week. The Surreywood Rangers are level on points with Grass Pitch. The Rangers beat Glorydaze 33-25. The Shaolin Mystigods remain perfect at 2-0 with a 42-39 victory over School of Science. Another Brek in the Wall scored the biggest win of the week, a 36 to -1 trouncing of Castle Hill Comets.

Division One

Two teams top the table in Division one with 3-1 records. Cánicas AC is in the pole position on point difference, following their 16-1 drubbing of Top Shelf. Cánicas has three division two championships in its trophy case, the most recent coming last year, but no division one summer trophy. With two games remaining, this could be the year. Arrows SC took down Dynamo Silver Spring 22-9 to remain tied with Cánicas on points. Aviators, one of four teams tied at 2-2, handed Wierder Bremen another loss this season, 17-8. WB is winless and in danger of falling out of division one. Phoenix TS beat Redneck SC 31-21 to level the records of both teams at 2-2.

Division Two

The Hooligans of Dudley Street are the only perfect team in division two with a 4-0 record. The Hooligans topped Sasha Juniors, leaving them the sole winless team in D2. BigGame James remains undefeated, but the record was blemished with a 7-7 tie against Sehome Mariners. The Mariners earn a much needed point, and sit just above the relegation zone. Laws of Lalas threw the book at Nguyenning, 35-4. Appleton Aarhus got back to .500 with a 17-5 win over C.C. United.

Division Three

Three teams have three wins and nine points to sit tied at the top of Division three. Grass Pitch Please remains in first place on point difference, following a lopsided 34-2 victory over the School of Science. Shaolin Mystigods are also perfect after their 30-6 win over Glorydaze. Surreywood Rangers have nine points, earning three of those against Another Brek in the Wall 17-15. Castle Hill Comets was idle this past week and is still looking for its first point of the summer season.

We will take a break in week 15 and return in week 16.

The summer season is about winning the three division championships, but it’s also about getting into and staying in Division One to bring home the League Cup in the Championship Season.

Division One

Cánicas AC posted an impressive victory in a tough week to move three points clear of the next three teams, in sole possession of first place. Cánicas AC topped overall MFLS leader Phoenix TS 32-27. Three teams are tied on points in second place. The Arrows SC and Redneck SC are two of those, and both struggled against each other this week with negative points. Redneck got the best, winning -1 to -3. Aviators beat Dynamo Silver Spring 14-12, moving Aviators into a second place tie, and sending DSS to the bottom of the table and squarely in relegation territory. Wierder Bremen earned its first win of the season, 9-2 over Top Shelf, but is tied with DSS in last place.

Division Two

Dudley Street Hooligans made it five for five this season with a 16 to -2 thrashing of C.C. United. DSH is all but assured of promotion, barring a mathematical anomaly. CCU is sent to the bottom of the standings, tied with Sasha Juniors having three points. The Juniors earned its first win of the season, a 4-1 victory over Laws Of Lalas, but need more help than that to stay in D2. Appleton Aarhus topped BigGame James 13-10 and remains in contention for promotion with nine points, one behind BGJ. The Sehome Mariners are mathematically still in the hunt for promotion, and helped itself with a 20-3 trouncing of Nguyenning.

Division Three

Two teams remain tied at the top of the table. Shaolin Mystigods and Grass Pitch Please played to a 5-5 tie. The Surreywood Rangers started the week in a tie at the top, but was idle, and benefited from the other two splitting the points. Another Brek in the Wall bested Glorydays 19-13, but due to the idle week coming up cannot reach the promotion spots. School Of Science kept Castle Hill Comets winless thus summer, 13-10.

It's not that bizarro. You're tied with me for
last place with one win and a tie and Top Shelf is
just ahead of us but out of the relegation zone
with two wins.

Oops, misread that. Regardless, this dip into the relegation zone will force some changes (as if I haven't been burning enough transfers)

Division One

The top two division one teams battled each other in week seventeen, and it was Arrows SC scoring a 37-33 triumph over Cánicas AC. The two are tied for the top spot heading into the final game. Arrows is looking for its second summer title while Canicas its first. Three teams are tied for second place and are three points behind the two leaders, and with losses by the two top teams could steal the crown. Top Shelf has the best chance of those, having the best point difference. Top Self grounded the Aviators 60-39.

Things at the bottom of the table remain tight. Three teams, like crabs in the bucket, hope to avoid the two relegation spots and a drip to D2. Dynamo Silver improved its standing with a 46-36 victory over Redneck SC. Wierder Bremen dropped overall MFLS leader Phoenix TS 66-41. WB and PTS occupy the bottom positions.

Division Two

Dudley Street Hooligans has clinched passage to division one, despite losing to BigGame James 44-42. DSH holds the top spot over BGJ by two points, but BGJ has also clinched ascension into Division One, as it has a four point lead over the three teams tied for third place. Appleton Aarhus was making a run, but fell to Nguyenning 57-38, scuttling its chances.

Sasha Juniors scored a big win over C.C. United 37-22, but those two teams still sit in the relegation zone. CCU can’t escape, and will play in Division Three next year. The Juniors will battle Sehome Mariners for the last spot, with the winner staying in D2. The Mariners were sunk by The Laws Of Lalas 47-35.

Division Three

The Division Three race goes down to the last week, with three teams vying for the top two promotion spots. Shaolin Mystigods is the best among them. The Mystigods topped Another Brek In The Wall 47-31 and sits in first place by a point over the Surreywood Rangers, and three points over Grass Pitch Please. The Rangers bested School of Science 17-8 to remain in the hunt. Grass Pitch Please started the week in first place but was taken down by Castle Hill Comets 58-37, putting its chance for promotion in jeopardy. Glorydaze had the bye. Next week’s game between Grass Pitch and the Rangers will determine who goes up and who stays down.
