I found it tempting but hard to put Toronto players in my roster, starting the season off with eight straight road games. Saturday's match may tip the scales from hard back to tempting.

Dallas-KC looks like a really good game on paper, maybe the best matchup of the week.

I'm optimistic about the Crew this year. Blanked 1-0 at Houston isn't the worst that could happen, but the home game against TFC should be a good test.

The home game in Yankee Stadium should be a fun affair.

The most lopsided games this week? RSL-Philly or Seattle-SJ. Both could be ugly.

Philly offense needs to start gelling, they looked disjointed and
need to change that. Defense looked solid with Vitoria at CB
and this will be a big test for M'bohli. I plan to roll the dice
again with M'bohli this week, another clean sheet will be more
difficult vs RSL but I don't think he will give up more than 1
(just hoping the the philly offense can get their act together,
Wenger needs to be the focal point and they need to look to
goal instead of too much passing like they did vs COL)

Norm, serious question: what the holy hell is PHI doing with
Maidana on the bench to start the game? i watched the
highlights and Maidana should be the straw that stirs the drink
in my opinion. he doesn't defend much but he makes passes
no one else on the team will ever be able to make. is he
simply not fit enough still to go the full 90? why pay a guy
that much money to come off the bench? i feel like PHI front
office and coaches are taking crazy pills. your thoughts?

I agree Randall, Maidana should be starting with his precision
passes and free kicks. Sapong should be coming in off the
bench as a sub instead of starting, he didn't look dangerous at
all in the recent game. There was one instance where I
thought he would definitely go to goal and instead passed
backward to the midfield. I think Curtain is a good coach but
not playing Maidana was a head scratcher. Hopefully he will
be starting this weekend, a midfield of Le Toux, Edu, Noguiera
and Maidana with Wenger and Aristiguieta up top is the way to
go in my opinion. The back four and M'bohli are solid and I
wouldn't touch that at all, and I think RSL won't have an easy
time against them on Saturday.

Last year, TOR jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 24
minutes on a pair of goals by Jermain Defoe in the
season opener. I agree that the match next Sat in
CMB will be an excellent test for both sides.

I think VAN will regroup aggressively & swiftly,
spanking the Fire in their home opener.

See I figure Chicago's offense are a bunch of guys
playing together for the first time. Vancouver's
core has been intact for a couple seasons now I
Soccer aside, these are two great North American

Hounds FC with 5 transfers already. That would be

I am making my team better, Dave.

I had three players that I thought would be starting and it is obvious that is not going to be the case. So, boom, they are gone.

And the other two was a calculated choice to make the squad stronger. Got rid of one big salary to buy two players that I expect to do just as good as him or better over the course of the year. Plus, it gave me some added depth.

We are stronger going into week two, than we were going into week one.

I made my first trade yesterday. The fee of the
player I traded for rose 6 points due to the trade.

Hoping Shipp has a good game this weekend, was one of my
most productive players last year (he even had a hat trick in
one game which was impressive as a rookie) so starting him
this week.
