Two home games this week and in two weeks USOC match vs
Rochester, this is the month for philly to start their quest to win
some silverware this season. |

Had planned a month ago to use a transfer to bring in a DGW GK for this week to replace Frei ... and now I can't bring myself to pull the trigger for some reason? |

Sounds like Nemeth will be with the Hungarian NT
this week. |

Pirlo is fun to watch |

Obafemi Martins played more than 145 minutes this
week (and notched an assist) after suffering a
broken nose in a collision with Clint Irwin, raising
the hope that he'd be able to play through the
injury as it heals. But the striker had surgery
today to address the issue, and it seems almost
certain Martins will miss at least Saturday's game
at Sporting Kansas City.

I'll take your word Seattle, but the first thing I
notice about Pirlo is that he's 36.
Thanks Weirder. Your boy Taylor Kemp has a groin
injury. |

Pirlo is like fine wine, ages well. He's gonna be fun to watch.
With that said, damn, is NYCFC trying to buy themselves a
championship from the get go? Pirlo, David Villa, and
Lampard. 33,36,and 36.
To take David's point of age, they got a tiny window to do it.
2 years max? MAYBE 3... |

He's playing in the CL final ...
Either way, just happy another one of my favorite non-US players is (could be) coming to MLS.
(Statement is empty without context: I don't have a lot of favorite players, especially outside of MLS. Amazingly all the ones I have keep coming over here; Keane, Henry, Martins ...) |

First time I've ever had 10 different teams represented in my lineup. |

Woke up this morning, started thinking about my lineup, kept picturing the Crew blowing out Philadelphia and Finlay getting a HT, so that seems likely, 3 goals coming soon. |

So I picked up the one DC defender that I was sure
would start, Bill Hamid. Guess what? Dykstra in
goal. |

Hamid would have stopped that Accam shot, I'm sure. |
