Week 27 Matches
Saturday, Sep 5
NER - ORL 7:30 pm ET
MON - CHI 8 pm ET
SEA - TOR 10 pm ET
SJE - PHI 10:30 pm ET
Sunday, Sep 6
CMB - DAL 7 pm ET
Idle: COL, DCU, HOU, LAG, NYC, POR, RNY, RSL,
SKC, VAN

Light MLS schedule this week due to the
national team fixtures. USA-Peru Fri at 6 PM
Central, USA-Brazil early next week, Canada-
Belize WC qualifier 7:30 PM Fri. Before you
pick up players for this week check out who
will be gone. SJ, for example, will be missing
several key players (but apparently not Wondo).
My guess is that Dempsey won't play for SEA
since he will be with the nats vs. Brazil.
Giovinco was called up to Italy. Drogba? Who
knows, but I heard he's lost a step or two
anyway. Jones won't be with NER. It's kind of a
crapshoot this week. Comments? Share below.

Do you play someone on a bye this week or someone with a
terrible matchup?

I'm still influenced by the old DNP (did not play)
penalty so I generally try to pick players who
will play but I'll think twice about my Toronto
players. OTOH scores in Seattle tend to be low. My
major focus this week is picking up one player who
is likely to help this week and for the rest of
the year and getting rid of somebody who likely
won't help.

This short week is dominated by teams on the playoff bubble. Though only five games, it should be interesting.

So Giovinco flew to Italy, they took a look at his
groin, and they sent him back.

Don't sleep on Seattle! ... no, I would bet LA and just take the extra couple bucks. Boring, but very likely.

I'd take one of these 3 for the value. I can easily make cases for and against.

Anybody who beats out LA for the Supporter's
Shield has a good shot. Anybody who has to travel
to play at LA will have a hard row to hoe.

Don't forget, though, that LA has only 3 home
games remaining to go with 3 road games. San Jose,
for example, has 6 home games and two road games.
New York has 5 home and 4 away by my count.

Mtl has a favorable schedule but the team is a mess
and Bush hasn't been getting a lot of mfls points.
Plus many are low on transfers and there are other
keepers who've been getting points.
