12 teams have two games this week. Orlando and
Chicago play Wed but not on the weekend. That's
a lot of games. Comments? Post below. |

So is the best strategy to seek out double game
teams or not? |

Use the Force, Luke.
But I'm sure there's a stats nerd out there that can
answer the question. |

DGW players have been tricky this season, hard to predict. |
from The Laws of Lalas on Mon 6/22 16:13 ET Reply to This Message |
it is common sense, but i would definitely advise against
players with double road games. double home games on the
other hand are tasty treats. the tough decisions are the guys
with one home-one away vs. guys with just one game but a
good matchup. it is almost always a case by case basis. |

Always ride the DGW, go big or go home |

Big weeks such as this are dark and full of terrors. |

Does anyone know when the USMNT will be required to show
up for training? Will this happen asap? Will the players be
available for todays games? |
from FC Byrd Turgler on Wed 6/24 14:25 ET Reply to This Message |
I'm pretty sure they don't leave until after this weekends games. They've got a pre-Gold Cup friendly on July 3rd, but I don't see them doing a long camp for this tournament given that the MLS players are in-season. Some of the foreign players might come in early for fitness work. |

Got 9 out of 10 on MLSsoccer's "rivalry quiz" ...
Missed question 8.
Interesting none of the 10 questions involved the Union, with 'all' of their rivalries ;) |
from Stormin Union on Wed 6/24 18:32 ET Reply to This Message |
Three rivalries and counting, should be a good game tonight. |
from Seattle SC on Wed 6/24 18:45 ET Reply to This Message |
PPL Park does belong to the Sounders, they own it, only team to win a trophy there. So we're basically the home team and at home we expect 3 points. That said, with our depleted XI and basically half our aggregation being reserves, and with an eye on my MFLS team, I'd take a 0-0 draw and get out of Chester with a point.

Predicting a 2-1 Union win but wouldn't be surprised if it ends
in a 1-1 draw. I think it will be a close contest throughout the
game but we have a habit of scoring late goals and this could
happen again tonight. Either way it should be an intense
game. |
