thought i would get a chatter thread going for our weekly draft
league and MLS discussions and observations. i think we used
to do new threads every week but it may be nice to instead
consolidate them all in one thread. anyways, today is like my
adult version of xmas. can't wait to see who everyone took in
the main league and what my total fees will be. i must say
though, i am thankful for this draft league. not only great
camaraderie and competition, but i feel like it has to make us
all better in the main league as we have researched every
team to death by now. good luck to everyone in both leagues.

how is everyone's fee outlook looking. i think i only have 837 with Arena, which is far lower than last year (not that the slush helped then).

When are stats usually updated on this site?

Usually overnight after the last game of the weekend. Most
times when I wake up on Monday it is updated. This is run by
one man so he can't do it live.

Wondering how much (if at all) scores will increase this year. It stands to reason that the extra teams will increase the number of viable players rostered on the same number of teams we've had since the beginning. I'm pegging the over-under at 8%. What do you guys think?

i agree with you. scores will likely across the board but the top
score may be another matter. Top Shelf was an absolute
monster last year, finishing almost top 25 in MFLS if I recall. to
beat his 809 you will need about 25 PTs a week.

i liked my team WK 1, but in setting it for WK 2 and looking at
the matchups, i now see how easily it could all go south soon.

So what happens if I lose someone - Deshorn Brown was transferred to a Norwegian club. Do I just keep him on my roster?

I touched on this a bit with keepers last year, but we never came up anything concrete. If you have a player injured or cut, you're SOL. But if you have a guy transfer out? Extra mini-draft pick? Supplemental pick?

You're Just out of luck regardless of whether it's an injury,
waived, sold, transferred, Adrian Peterson, etc.

I've really liked the change of having a mini draft after week 1 and 2. It allows us to start building our team and have a little vision and strategy going forward.

Now if my defenders would stop getting red cards...

Wow Pontius. Missing that late penalty killed me. Since he
missed, I'll get a -7. If he scored, I would've a had 0..
