Week 23 Matches
Wednesday, Aug 5
MON - RNY 8 pm ET
TOR - ORL 8 pm ET
Friday, Aug 7
POR - CHI 11 pm ET
Saturday, Aug 8
TOR - SKC 4 pm ET
ORL - PHI 7:30 pm ET
MON - DCU 8 pm ET
COL - CMB 9 pm ET
HOU - SJE 9 pm ET
VAN - RSL 10 pm ET
Sunday, Aug 9
LAG - SEA 4 pm ET
RNY - NYC 7 pm ET
Idle: DAL, NER

The teams that play league games Wed have two
games this week: RNY, MTL, TOR, and ORL.

There are also 3 CCL games this week: RSL-MUN
on Tues, then VAN-SEA and LAG-CFC on Wed.

The only game that looks like a blowout, based
on recent form, is LAG-SEA. You would think
there will be fewer goals scored this week.

Pedro Morales will probably get a hat trick
since I traded him last week.

Will any of the recent signings break out-
Gerard, Lampard, Dos Santos, SWP, Pirlo,
Barnetta? My guess is SWP. Please comment
below.

Add Drogba and Torres to the list as well. And
Pelosi is on the SJ roster now. Any relation to
Nancy from the same area?

Bedoya might be signing with the Union, would be great if it
happens.

This would be good for Aristeguita also since he and Bedoya
played together at Nantes.

I predict a Red Bulls blowout over NYC FC. I can also see Houston piling on San Jose.

I think Houston San Jose will be close. For those of you that have not traveled through the Houston airport there is a very impressive selection of Dynamo gear you can buy there.

Ives reports Sounders have signed Austrian MF
Andreas Ivanschitz from Levante. 31 years old, 69
career caps and 12 international goals. Reportedly
a set piece specialist once known as "Austria's
David Beckham."

C'mon Alewive, I tee'd it up for ya.

Update on Hamid from Goff datelined today:

Hamid’s timetable to return was four to six weeks;
this week marks four. He has returned to training
and, Olsen said, “looks good. We’re going to take
that day to day and make sure when he does come
back, he is back for good.”

The Red Bulls signed Gonzalo Veron.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm completely unimpressed with Kljestan. He's the 2015 version of Claudio Reyna when he landed in New York, a big fat meh. I hope I read next week that he's been traded for a decent central defender and they hand the midfield job over to Veron.

Kljestan got a red card a few weeks ago and since
then he's been scoring a few mfls points every
game. Very consistent. I agree he didn't do much
earlier in the year.

I heard an interview with him on Extra Time. He's
pretty arrogant, notably so even for a pro
footballer.

14 min in I think that every time Klestjan
touched the ball it resulted in a
turnover.
