Capital League

Low Expectations, Hounds FC, Seattle SC, and Mattylip FC are all tied at the top of the standings with Low Expectations leading the pack on goal differential. Everyone else is two games back, with six matchdays to go.

Now, it is serious as the top four all know that they need to keep winning. The top four all face competition that is off the pace this week. We will see who can finish strong and who will wilt under the pressure. We are set up for a fantastic finish in the Capital League this year.

Colonial League

***Match of the week***
Newport FC at Hampton Strikers - Hampton are tied for the top spot and only behind on goal differential, while Newport are currently in third place and in possession of the final promotion spot. However, Tennessee FC and Retro Dog FC are both breathing down their neck, so a result would definitely help the cause and guarantee their place in the top three for another week.

Still a way to go but this might be the closest Capital League race that I can remember. Usually one person runs away with it, or 2-3 are clear of everyone and one pulls away towards the end, or the ONE time someone ran away with it yet manage to collapse the final two matches and finish 2nd (wonder who that was . . . )

Don't remember 4 clearly at the top this far into it.

After the last few weeks of sub-par performances by the boys, management has made wholesale changes to the squad in order to change the atmosphere in the dressing room. The boys are all on the same page now, and nothing but success will be accepted.

This is a huge week for Hounds in their quest to qualify for the Champion's League. A good week will guarantee qualification with the rest of the elite.

I made a bunch of changes this week, too. Felt like it was all starting to slip away so I overhauled the roster, ha.

Capital League - Results

Low Expectations, Hounds FC, and Mattylip FC keep winning while Seattle dropped a close one to Stanton Park and fell three points off the pace. Dynamo Salem are lurking six points back and hoping for a chance. Everyone else is three games back and likely in need of a miracle.

Colonial League - Results

FC Bayern Tampa continued their winning ways as they get one step closer to the Colonial League title and promotion back to the big time.

Newport FC blew out Hampton Strikers meaning that Hampton are now three points behind Bayern for the top spot and three points ahead of Newport who sit in third.

Tennessee FC and Retro Dog FC both won and remain two points out of promotion with Mizzo lurking three points away.
