Capital League

*Match of the week*

KC Frostbite at Lowbrow Wanderers SC - Our match of the week this week is between two teams that are both looking to get their season on track. They are both searching for their first points of the season and know that it is now or never if they realistically want to get themselves back in the race. A fourth straight loss to start the season would be brutal.

VFL Huskers at Hanscom City - Huskers will be looking to win their fourth straight as they take on fellow new boys Hanscom City who will be looking to get back in the race. It should be interesting.

Colonial League

*Match of the week*

Tennessee FC at Portland Red Tide - Tennessee get a second chance to show they belong at the top of the table and this should be a real test. Portland are undefeated and will look to show that Tennessee are pretenders, not contenders. This is a big match for both sides.

I have 2 points so far and I'm up by 11 points. Dallas really screwed a lot of people this week.

Hey Tim, Have you always been a Chicago Fire fan? I can't remember if you have always had them listed as your favorite MLS team.

Mine changed from Dallas to Orlando this year, which explains Dallas' sudden success : )

Think Tim listed Portland the last couple years?

I am still a Portland fan. However, being a season ticket holder to the Mutiny for their entire existence, I wanted to show some support to my favorite original team still in existence. And there you have the Fire.

And the results are in. It was a crazy week in MLS and the results in the AAPL reflect that.

Capital League

*Match of the week*

KC Frostbite at Lowbrow Wanderers SC - KC Frostbite get their first win of the season and add to the misery of a Wanderers side that is wondering what else can go wrong. Both sides are still both in the relegation zone, but Frostbite is feeling much better after taking their first points of the year. They are joined in the relegation zone by Carnival FC who lost their fourth straight and moved to the bottom of the table. Things are not looking good for the side from the pacific Northwest.

VFL Huskers at Hanscom City - Huskers dropped their first match of the season going down to City by 28 points. If you are going to lose, you might as well lose big. The result drops them to sixth in the table, however it is only on point differential so they are still very much in the hunt.

The top three are Low Expectations, Hounds FC, and Seattle SC with only point differential being the difference. Actually, point differential is the difference between first and sixth. It is tight at the top of the Capital League this year with the top five all being perennial powers.

Colonial League

*Match of the week*

Tennessee FC at Portland Red Tide - Portland Red Tide drop their first match of the season as Tennessee FC showed they will be contenders for promotion this year. Tennessee remains in fourth, while Portland drops to third with only point differential separating the two sides.

Bayern Tampa and Hampton Strikers both continued their winning ways and remained undefeated early in the season. Bayern remain at the top of the table with Hampton moving up to second.

The Fire aren't originals ;) Are the Mutiny not an option for favorite team? They had the best colors too (yes, including 1996, I actually liked their original jerseys) ...

Score 0 points and still win by one. Makes up for last game when I thought my 25 points would be good but instead I was blown out ...
