Capital League

Low Expectations, Hounds FC, and Mattylip FC kept winning and we will see who can continue their winning ways this week.

Seattle slipped last week, but know they cannot afford another slip if they want to get back in the race.

Dynamo Salem have a chance, but they will realistically need to win out to have any chance.

Relegation
----------
KC Frostbite, Hanscom United, and Lowbrow Wanderers SC continue to occupy the bottom three and know that time is running out. They need to start getting some results now.

FC Bayern Tampa is getting closer to promotion. It would take a complete collapse for them to fall out of the top three.

Hampton Strikers lost big last week and will look to get back on track this week. Promotion still looks good for the team from the Pacific Northwest.

Newport FC was impressive last week, but will need to continue winning to ensure promotion as they are only two points above the chasing pack.

***Match of the Week***
Tennessee FC vs Mizzo FC - Tennessee are in fourth place, while Mizzo are in sixth. Tennessee are two points out of promotion, while Mizzo are three points back. A result is needed for both sides if they want to stay in the race for promotion. A loss could see them in need of serious help in the stretch run.

Retro Dog FC have been strong recently, but will need to keep winning as they are in fifth place and two points out of promotion. They want to keep the pressure on the clubs ahead of them.

Still say this is arguably the most exciting Capital League race we've had. I'll try to get myself back in it so it stays that way until the end.

Ok--I'm back... made a ton a changes this week and hoping for the best. Only a few weeks left at this point and I can't let Ed (City) stay up while I go down...

Due to my terrible early season strategy--I'm down to only 3 transfers and VERY high transfer fees. HERE GOES NOTHING...

One of the best scores in the division, lost by 1, again. Lost by 1 in Open Cup last week and by 2 in Capital League, and then by 1 this week. Bad luck on the matchups.

That will mean that your matchup next week against Low Expectations will be a must win for you to have any hope. You know we will all be rooting for you in that one. Well, maybe everyone except Low Expectations.

To say I have a poor history against Ted would be an understatement. Will see what I can do, will come down to 2-3 players since the rest of our lineup is the same (so I noticed when I lost by a point last week, mostly because his coach won and mine didn't) ...

Tough loss this week for the boys. Had the
momentum but just couldn't finish. Have a feeling
that puts me out of the running for promotion now.
Feels good to have a team in contention again! Now
to get in the top #100 overall...

The scores and updated standings will be posted after any scoring errors are updated. That should be by late this evening.

Low Expectations, Hounds FC, and Mattylip FC all won again as the race for the title continues to be tight. The three way tie at the top continues for another week.

Seattle slipped again this week dropping another close one as they lost by one for the second straight week running. They are now 6 points behind the leaders and have to win out and hope for help.

Everyone else is 9 points off the pace or more and in need of a miracle.

KC Frostbite, Hanscom United, and Lowbrow Wanderers SC continue to occupy the bottom three. With only four weeks left in the season, it is now or never if they want to avoid the drop.

Colonial League - Update

It was a wild week in the Colonial. FC Bayern Tampa lost, but stay on top of the division on goal differential.

Hampton Strikers won and are tied with Bayern on points as the race for the Colonial League title just got interesting.

Newport FC lost and dropped to fourth in the table one point behind Tennessee FC, who knocked off Mizzo FC and reclaimed third place in the race for promotion.

Retro Dog FC drew and remain two points off the pace for promotion.

Gamblers FC won and moved to within three points of promotion.

Mizzo lost and are now 4 points back and needing some help.

Portland Red Tide got a big win over Bayern and put themselves back in contention for promotion as they are 4 points back as well.

Damn Dirty Apes are 5 points back and still alive as well.
